Posting troubles
« on: July 18, 2011, 06:58:27 PM »
I am trying to post a few pictures from photobucket (like I always do) and I click 'post', then this message comes up:

Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /home/mcdrccom/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 2989

Can anyone tell me what's going on please? I've been trying to post some pictures of my v4 update for a couple of days now! :(

Cheers,
Cam

No other reports of problems , try resetting your router , and I goodled your problem ,and loads of info there , seems it's more likely

Haven't been having any problems either.

Just a test to confirm the problem hasn't started in the last day or three...

The actual thread could be corrupted in the database Cam and that could be causing your problem specifically in your thread.

I don't know what the codes mean ,but a couple of Issues Improved my MCD "Experience "  BT broadband user , Router resetting , Using
google Chrome for photo work , and since I installed the new state of the art BT router (as tv advertised ) and half price now at Bt shop,
the problems have all gone and I even donloaded a 1080 HD video to you tube ,Photo bucket does have Issues from time to time ,
if you have a big pixel camera and more than a couple of pice use the album link  ;) ;) ;)

Glad to hear it's not just me with the problem SyberSarge! I do manage to get 2 pictures in per post, anymore then that and it wont go. I am also on OZLS forum (link on the right) which runs on the same server and hosts. No problems over there...

I'm not sure if this info is any good to anyone, but I am running internet explorer 9, and windows 7. I do have Google Chrome so next time I need to post some pics, I will try via that.

Just tried to do a post with 4 pictures that i have on Photobucket.... failed could not do the post. I was just using the regular IMG BB's that you can copy directly off Photobucket.

Mike, have you tried doing a post with 3 or 4 pictures ??

I Just tried 6 pics ,then 5/4 and finally 3 and it worked ,it must be down to the size of the data , slide show links are best for
multi pics  ;)  Mike

I dont like putting up slide show links, as forum members like to see the pics right in front of them instead of clicking on another link. :D :D

I hear both of these forums (mcdrc and ozls) are getting moved to a new host and server very soon, so will see what happens then. ;)
