Great idea but I wonder how the air filtering will hold up.

I like the idea of this, might be a bit easier with changing and cleaning the filter medium.... so a big :good:  from me.

Can't see too much crap getting in through the two tubes.

Air included...

Where there is air there will be crap in it that needs to be taken out... I do like it though... More in line with their clutch thinking and making it more real life. Looks very similar to modern car filtering. I wonder if the filter is a paper type or foam filter requiring oiling...

Don't like it much myself great way to restrict your airflow to the motor.

Would it really restrict airflow....  if the two tubes (where the air comes in) at the front have a larger combined diameter than the carby venturi.... then surely it wouldn't be restrictive.

Every kind of noise reduction, restricts the air flow somehow. (more or less)
But there are some rules about noise levels! The big deal is, to find a way that restricts the air flow at least but at the same time bring the noise level down. I think this one is the best combination of both.

I don't think it will restrict air at all it is designed to dampen the induction noise which is what most of these cars suffer from not from the exhaust! (Euro rules)
